Because unfortunately some people "think" their opinions are superior to others opinions, simply because of factors such as age, race, ethnic background, religious background, education, etc. Some people are just too damn ignorant or stubborn to realize that there are other opinions out there and that you should respect the opinion of others even if you don't agree with it.

Great screen name.

We are what we are inherantly, genetically, educationally, and "evolutionarily" IS that even a word?

We see, feel, hear, speak, smell, and use those senses through experiences,,,usually from birth.

As we do age, evolve, we are exposed to other teachings and opinions, beyond that which was instilled in us often by parents, or others of influence in a young life.

If our "learning" was narrowly defined by those who influenced us, then so it seems logical, so will be our views, levels of teolerance, acceptance, and disregard, or denial.

BREAKING a cycle, or creating a new one is as challenging as any life experience we may have, but so valid as that relates to progressing as an individual, and species.

To deny that anothers views/opinions are WRONG simply because of all we know,,, is to deny ourselves expansion of knowledge. We need not SEE, EYE to EYE, but to dismiss anothers beliefs is to BLIND onesself.

A very simple analogy:: I like Chocolate Ice Cream,,, someone I might be sharing an ice cream "date" with, may not. Does that make me more "right" or them,,, in their personal choice???

Because everyone thinks differently and people have different opinions about things.

No two people think alike about everything, so therefore, they cannot see "eye to eye".

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. LOL

There are an infinite number of choices to make down to the finest detail. Instead of looking at the situation and seeing the similiarities people look to see the differences.

If everyone saw "eye to eye," agreed on everything, all thought the same way, not only would this be one dull world to live in, progress would just about grind to a halt.

People are different and come from different environments. I would not see eye to eye with a rapist for example.
