when you delelet them from the video or music or application files

they dont go anywhere, you can delete them then if you use another program such as yahoo or music engine, they all come back up on those, i have like over 8000 files i cant find to ACTUALLY delete, the geek squad told me to uninstal limewire and or bring my comp in to get a tune up.

To what ever file you saved them to, click explore and delete them form that file than empty our recycle bin

You are deleting them from your computer if you downloaded them.
They are still being shared by other people, unless they are deleted from the servers.
