No. This was debunked back in the 60s, but some quack "cures" just never go away.

There is a great deal of confusion about Apricot Pits. The confusion is that it is not the Apricot Pits that "cure" Cancer it is a compound INSIDE of the Apricot pits that stops the metastasis(Spreading) of Cancer Cells. That compound is called LAETRILE also called AMYGDALIN because it is also found in ALMONDS called Prunus Amygdala ( The Prunus Family also includes Peaches ,Plums,Nectarines,Cherries, and Apricots )This compound is NOT quackery it is acknowledged by Dr.James F. Balch a MEDICAL Doctor on page 252 of Precription for Nutritional Healing on the left hand column in the Cancer section. There is no disputing that there is a Cyanide compound molecule attached to the make up of Laetrile also called VITAMIN B-17 lets also remember that the basic form of Vitamin B-12 is called CYANOcobalamin that same Cyanide compound is attached to Cobalt and a basic amino acid compound to make Vitamin B-12 before your liver activates it in its first stage coenzyme form called METHYLcobalamin. Millions of people use CYANOcobalamin everyday and not one death from its usage is ever reported. The other misunderstood fact about B-17 is that the Cyanide Molecule does NOT attack healthy cells it only attacks the METASTASIZING CELLS(the infected cancer Cells). It is this fact that has been deliberately hidden by the Medical Establishment because there is no money in Cures and plenty of money in Disease. Laetrile is found in greatest abundance not just in Apricot Pits which is also called BITTER ALMONDS but it is also found in regular Raw Almonds and Laetrile really does have anti-cancer properties which is why it is still being slandered even after 40 years because the business with disease is far too lucrative. So lucrative that Laetrile is not legal in the United States. There is proof that it works and there are lots of websites which can also inform you about this misunderstood compound and let's remember that VITAMIN C, VITAMIN E and most other Nutirients that can't be patented by Pharmaceutical companies have all been equally slandered because no money can be made from compounds that you can find in Nature.

There are so many different types of cancers: blood, bone, organ, etc. As a simple object lesson...cancer can oftentimes be traced back to oxidative stress to the cellular [lipid] membranes which can adversely impact our DNA. To neutralize or reduce this process, one must increase their level of antioxidants through the ingestion of fruits and vegetables (not synthetic supplements like A, C and E). The data is already very conclusive on this. For your edification, I've posted some excellent research on my Yahoo Briefcase which you can freely download: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/apuzyr There is other information there, as well, which you may also find useful pertaining to high protein diets, building up the immune system, ideal blood tests, macular degeneration, diabetic neuropathy, free radicals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, synthetic vitamins vs whole food, etc.

Actually I can see how that could work, only alongside a good diet though. Cancer is a continually growing monster. Drastically lowering your food intake could lead to cells that are constantly demanding more resources to die. It's hardly a cure but it could help.

There are no cures for cancer, just treatments.
I would say you've got nothing to lose by trying it, right?
