Yours is kind of short! WOW 20 min, is good!
I was induced at 3 pm and gave birth to my daugther at 10:30 PM long way of contractions, but when I was 10 cm dilated I only had to push like10 times.

My mother-in-law had been told, go to the hospital when her contractions are 5 minutes apart, for all three of her pregnancies. For two of them, she hit that point while she was quite a drive from her chosen hospital, during rush hour traffic. Both times, she arrived in just enough time for the baby to be caught -- not even enough time to hop in bed! She reports labor being merely "annoying" until the last push or two, for both times. She labored for 12-48 hours, but it was not the excruciating sort, just the exciting "the baby is coming, and this isn't half-bad!" sort.

The one birth that was different, she was induced about 6 days early so the doctor could deliver before he went on vacation the next week. 27 hours of excruciating labor, including 3 hours of hard pushing, her baby was born and rushed off to be revived. Every time we talk about having kids, she tells me that story, and makes me swear that I will not be induced.

my shortest was my last one at 21/2 hours labor adn delivery and 3 pushes. They induced me at 6am and she was born at 834am. My water broke and I went from 8-10cm within seconds and wasnt allowed to push till the doctor came up which was only 5 minutes but seemed like forever. then all of a sudden my leg went numb b/c the epideral kicked in but i could still feel everything. That and it was back labor, taht was painful

20 minutes is about the shortest time I have heard of. I had my first 2 babies within 1hr from getting there an having them .The first one I was dilated at an 8. the 2nd one I was at an 6 dilation
so everyone says I did not experience true labor. My answer to them is why would I want to.

once i got started dialating i went from 3 to 10 in about an hour with the last two. The first one was longer. I didn't have any pain medicine with either of them. The first one i had some pain meds through the iv and it slowed my labor down. it was a lot nicer without the pain med. I didn't have any problems from no pain med. I dialated so fast they didnt' have time to give me any med and i didn't want an epidural. I dont' remember how many pushes it took to get the babies out though.

My mom had my broth in 3 contractions. Literally, they brought her into the hospital to induce, but before they gave her the drugs, she had a contraction, they were taking her to the delivery room when she had another, and then she pushed him out on the third, took less then 10 min. Oh, BTW, it was her forth child, and her 3rd had been 30 min, which was why they were going to induce.

The shortest I know of is 18 minutes... yes, she ended up having the baby in her living room because her husband was taking his sweet time.

I was born after 10 minutes of pushing ... but my mom was having contractions for a couple of hours so it doesn't count...
