This question takes us to who is it that is dreaming? Is it not oneself? If so, then it is oneself that is dreaming, and thus, how would you not realize that you are dreaming? If you mean to realize one is dreaming aside from the dream itself, as though watching oneself dreaming, this level of dissociation, although perhaps possible, would indicate a serious problem.

In actuality, when dreaming, one is not the dream. Ones Attn Aspect of Apapsyche [the Operational energy of ones Soul] is watching the activity of ones MIND, while the Awar Aspect of ones Apapsyche is experiencing the content of the dream.... and all the while, the essential you, your Soul, is observing all this via its Apapsyche. So, your MIND realizes the dream, the Attn Aspect of your Apapsyche realizes the dream, your Soul realizes the dream, and even your brain, when awakened will realize the dream as well. So, it would seem that it is possible.

You can realize u were dreaming after you did it, thats why its called dreaming, if you were conscous of it then it would be considered as "thinking". Yea you tell urself to go dream but its most least likely youll o it right away, dreaming occurs on its own, and it should be, not forced or anything, thats like the brain's vacation, pls dont cut it short!!! Lol

Yes it is. I was told to consciously tell myself before I went to sleep that I was in control of my dreams and I had a reoccurring nightmare not often the last time I had that dream In the dream I thought to myself this is a dream I can leave it anytime I want to and it was over. Hey wait a minute that will be 100.00 that's what my shrink is by the hour. lol:-)

I believe it is from personal experience. I have had dreams when as the dream is going on, I know something is not right and it is a dream instead of reality.

I have had dreams where I realized it and then in my dream pinched myself to prove it. I didn't wake up though, so it is hard to say if I really realized it.

For me, yes. Especially in the hour before I'm supposed to get up for work. My subconscious somehow knows the time to rise is approaching, and my dreams at that time are vivid and realistic, yet I know they are just that - dreams.

Then when the alarm goes off right when he was going to...I just want to scream... ;-)
