This is the reason Israel is attacking Lebanon. Lebanon broke a peace treaty with Israel by allowing Hezbollah to arm themselves, kidnap and murder Israeli soldiers, and launch rockets and missiles into parts of Israel populated by innocent civilians. Israel Bombing Lebanon is a response to the attack that Hezbollah perpetrated on Israel. Attacks that were allowed, and I believe endorsed, by Lebanon (as well as Syria and Iran). Lebanon promised to keep Hezbollah in check, but they didn't make the slightest effort to do so. Hezbollah have received arms, funding and training from Iran. Syria has also supported Hezbollah with arms and funding. Lebanon promised, in the now broken treaty, not to allow any of this to happen, but they obviously had no intention of keeping that promise or honoring the treaty.

As for Israel being the Palestinians land- Long before there were Muslims or Mohamed, Israel existed on the very land where it now exists. This land was taken from the Israelites on countless occasions. After World War II, the U.N. decided to restore Israel to it's rightful place. Israel did not steal the land from the Arabs, rather, they were given back what had been stolen from them. Why should they give up that which is rightfully theirs?

Please, no more Muslim fanatics spreading their propaganda on Yahoo Answers. You are all so obvious.

No, I think the Israeli's woke up one morning and said "Looks like a good day to attack Lebanon. By the way if you want to appear literate try using the "check spelling" hyperlink. The Palestinians are what we refer to as the weak and we all know what happens to the weak whether animal or human. Don´t fight the inevitable, they are a doomed group just as the bushmen of Africa and some of the small tribes in Borneo and other locations such as the Amazon. There I.Q.'s might also be part of their problem since know thinking person would elect a group like Hamas to lead their territory while situated next to the mosat formidable army in that part of the world. Duhhhh!

I really think that Israel just wanted an excuse to go into lebanon, keep in mind Israel is a primarily jewish nation that is surounded by muslim or Islamic nations, Israel isnt wanted there they have to send a message to the rest of the region that they arnt to be mest with, if it involves 1000 deaths mostly children, then so be it, they want to secure their exsistance in the region.

personally I think its bull shi.t

This war has been going on forever but the kidnapping opened up and gave Israel a reason to start it up again and end it. The media only gives us what they want as far as info and we will not really know the stem of it unless we were there and knew all involved in this one, but war is war and this is one I think the US should stay out of.

of course not. kidnapping is a police matter, not a reason to invade a sovereign nation.
