I have one year of high school left and I am looking around for a good college and I was wondering if colleges have chat rooms i can go to that have people that are chatting that live at those colleges.

has discussion boards, but not live chat. However, people do use these message boards in such a way that almost-live chat is possible. The participants on these boards are current students, parents, prospective students, and the parents of prospective students.

Myspace does have message boards for some colleges, you'd have to do some searching around for it.
