Is there anything not on the normal Excursion list that you suggest I do whilst in theis area. My spare will be in Luxor and Aswan.
Also any tips for coping with heat of 45c?

I lived in Egypt for many years, drink plenty of water, take antibacterial wipes and wipe all glass rims, knives forks etc, even can lids before drinking. No salad (washed in water) no ice.
OK.....as for the trips, visit the Botanical Gardens in Aswan...they are the most beautiful place on earth, You can buy peanuts and feed tiny miniature monkeys. It will take you breath away.
Visit the markets in Aswan too, and take your favourite clothes in a bag, they can copy ANY design in an hour, and you can chose from HUNDREDS of fabrics. It is SO cheap you will be embarrassed. In Luxor, visit the Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie wrote Death on the Nile, and ask to have tea on the Veranda.....It is superb..

they are 1.99 and work a treat
also wear a hat all the time and drink lots of water
