For fashion and a high price range I recommend Hollister. I got 4 polos for 80 bucks. If you can't afford that Aeropostle and Gap always works. Jeans are the cheapest at American Eagle in the sale pile. Work it girl! It's always about looking good for them boys at school.

If you have a strict school dress code (knee lenght skirts, no tank tops, no shorts) go for a juniors department at Macy's, Target, or Old Navy. They are reasonably priced and fashionable. If you don't have a dress code, go anywhere, just don't make it too inapropriatte.... Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Delia's, Forever 21, and Aeropostale are all great stores, moderately priced. There is a real preppy, school, classic style in most of their clothes, though... Good Luck this year!
