buy one thats compatable with your service. If nothing else go to your service provider and tell them you want to buy a better phone, trust me they will sell you one. They offer discounts on phones for signing up for a plan however- they still sell phones!

I don't know what plan you have, but I have Sprint and when I am currently in a plan, I am still able to get a new phone while on the plan. Check with your cell phone carrier and see if you can do this. Good luck.

You can buy a phone from your provider but it's going to be expensive. Another option is to buy a phone online from a site like http://www.tigerdirect.com. You can buy phones there without getting a new contract. Also, you can buy phones on ebay, but be careful because many phones on there are locked or unable to be activated.

I suggest you try a "TRAC" phone, they are sold @ Wal-Mart. They have several varieties, and best part, no contract or plan you pay as you go is their motto. It is nationwide. You just buy how many minutes you need and you can add airtime on the cell phone yourself. I love mine. Good luck.

Try looking on eBay - they sell many unlocked phones. If you don't buy a phone that specifically says it's "unlocked" then you will have to make sure you are buying a phone that is from your provider.

Just trade in that phone you just received and they'll give you another one which ever you like. But I think there will be a phone change fee.

i think you can go to the store in which you have your service, and purchase the new phone at full price without extending your contract.
