I'm excited for Thompson. He gets the chance of a lifetime to show that he can run the show. If you remember, he started at the beginning of last season for a short time, so he does have potential. I bet OU does quite well and has a great chance to take the Big 12 title home and play in a BCS bowl. Our receivers are more mature and experienced and we still have Peterson. Bomar or not, I guess we'll do as well as the O-Line does. Go Sooners! Can't wait to disappoint the Longhorns' fans.

I thought Rhett Bomar was a punk for going to BlowU, instead of Texas. But oh well. I guess that Vince Young guy turned out to be an okay quarterback.

Of course Oklahoma was screwed. They had to play UT.

I hope Texas Tech and Baylor puts the beat down on OU.

Screw you Joytoy.

The Sooners have really screwed themselves this time by that sorry *** quarterback. This is the same quarterback that got in trouble with a DUI last season. The schedule looks very "easy" when they play their fourth game against the Longhorns. If they can get a decent QB they will probably be 10-2 and go to one of the BCS bowls in January 2007. They won't be champions next year unfortunately.

They have more than enough talent to make a bowl game, all you need is 6 wins and your in a bowl.

But chances are instead of playing in a BCS Bowl, they'll be heading to the Independence or the Alamo Bowl.

So in other words, their probably no better than a 8-5 team

I'm not real sure what I think about this situation yet. Bomar made a terrible decision. All I can do is jump on the Paul Thompson bandwagon. I'm not entirely convinced that he's very good. He hasn't shown us anything over the past couple years. I'm just hoping that he's good enough to get us into a bowl....we still have a really good defense and the offense is pretty good too. Thompson just has to connect when he throws.

OU is pretty much down with they wont win the Big 12 title and they will get put in a mid level bowl. They may end up with 8 or 9 wins

I don't care for OU (I'm a Buckeyes fan myself), but I don't think they're that bad off. Defense is Stoops' game & will always be. Besides, how good does a QB have to be to hand the ball off to Peterson? But I'll say this - what a shame for Bomar. He had a bright future that he threw away. Maybe a couple of years in Canada will help him get ready for the NFL.

no i dont think that they are screwed. I think that they will still get to a bowl game. They have enough weapons to remain near the top of the Big 12

Yes and i love it ...it is the best day in oklahoma ever for me, the next will be to see ncaa banning OU from any championship this season.

Don't know what the record will be, but they'll get a game. I think they can win 9, if defense plays like it could and offensive line holds up...
