I ripped some cds a few years ago to my pc and they were saves as wma files. I burned them to a disc and they don't play in my mp3 player because they are the wrong format. I don't have the cd's anymore because they have been lost or destroyed by my kids. I did try to download a program from the internet to convert them, but it didn't work because the files are protected or something. Any advise?

If you've tried programs, then the only thing to do is to install itunes. burn the cd's (if don't have them already) of the songs you need to convert. in itunes, go to the top menu and click on edit, scroll down to preferences, go to the advanced tab, and click on the importing sub-tab. Youll be confronted with an import using scroll box. Click on it and select mp3 encoding. you might want to change the quality as well. Click ok on the bottom. then insert the burnt disc and import. They will be encoded as mp3's.

I change returned and forth between the two in accordance with which burning application i'm utilising, as some on the on the spot at the instant are not appropriate matched with .flac. undergo in techniques that the audio information on your computing device could could desire to be ripped to those codecs from disc indoors the 1st place- basically changing them to that checklist format won't upload any records (audio extreme high quality).
