Adrianonthenet must NOT have watched that actual episode, because at the end, they ran 2 identical vehicles on the track, one with ac blasting, one with windows open. The one with the ac running came to a halt a long time before the one with the windows open.

If anyone watches mythbusters they will know that they did a series of tests and the results showed that the car with the window opened used more gas because the drag of the air and the car with the a/c turned on used slightly less fuel.

I hear that you get better gas mileage with the windows up and the a/c on if it is too hot to leave the a/c off. Open windows cause a pull on the air, thus using a minute more gas.

hello ac on b/c i don't think open windows have any impact on how much the car takes gas

HVAC Tech.: in case you imagine you've got here around the answer to "global Warming" you're incorrect. in reality you're literally not cooling the finished outdoors, you're including to the challenge. turn the a/c off or close the domicile windows. keep your self some money!

ac off and windows down................the wind that goes through the window pulls on the car causing uuhhhh it jus pulls down on the car ok =P
