Yes, in a hothouse heated by natural hot springs. But they have to use artificial light as well, as the days in Iceland are not long enough during the winter to keep the bananas growing and a banana needs 18 months to mature and bear fruit.

I agree with numanum, or maybe just get away from the whole growing bananas in supermarkets and try a garden centre, cos they would have soil and everything :D

yep they grow the most bananas in the EU in greenhouses kept warm by hot air heated by natural springs. At least I think I read that once.
