I am a Liberal Christian and not one the ones who many align with "right
wing" Christianity...you might call them "Bible-thumpers"/despots/radicals."
However, here are the scriptural illustrations of why they are diluded
in following like sheep the republican party....why they are turning to
the very fascist-like faction they are choosing to turn their wills/lives
over to. I've been contending all this all along...Please don't judge
our whole religion because of these jerks....you can bet Christ himself
is looking down and likening them to the San Hedren.

Let's see....He does follow the first amendment, which has nothing to do with being Christian. Even Jews follow the first amendment. Second, you misunderstand "turn the other cheek." Third, JFK, a Democrat, got us involved in Viet Nam and the problems with Laos and Cambodia followed. It was LBJ who ramped it up. So, frankly, you need to go back to the drawing board and figure out a more intelligent question to insult Bush.

Christians are not commanded to turn the other cheek until they are dead, turning the other cheek, means a second chance. But not a third, forth or fifth. If that's the case we would be speaking Japanese and German. The Jews were very meek and they were led to slaughter. The best way for evil to take over is for good men to do nothing.

In response to hexor's comment, yes we are, the Bible says turn your cheek "seven times seven" and so on, meaning always turn the other cheek.
Bush is not a Christian, but the majority of people who claim to be Christians aren't really Christians either. He says it to get votes from people too lazy to interpret the news or what's going on in the world for themselves. And unfortunately, that tactic works.

a look ahead to a watch is quite like the area of a man or woman by danger hitting you with their automobile, they could desire to legally provide due economic charge. it is approximately making specific that the guy is reimbursed for their loss. dropping a enamel because of fact of a fist combat or a unusual accident and getting it replaced is an argument of growing to be peace, intending to be finished. It has not something to do with taking indignant revenge against somebody as maximum ungodly human beings use it. while the Roman infantrymen got here to the backyard of Gethsemane to arrest Jesus, there grew to become right into a threat that it ought to get grotesque for his disciples so he steered them to coach to take care of themselves.. with swords against swords. between the 11 disciples have been in basic terms 3 swords against a battalion of infantrymen able to being fairly brutal. protection does not recommend counterattack, it ability to dam their attack with out harming them. while a soldier have been given harm.. a clean accident- if his disciples had aggressively attacked then he too could have been arrested. yet, Jesus referred to as a end to the altercation. And achieved the attention for a watch regulation by ability of putting the severed ear to the soldier's head and by ability of divine potential reattached, healed it as though it would not been severed. ___ Turning the different cheek is a Jewish idiom which ability the way you bear a verbal insult. If a man or woman is emotionally gentle sufficient an insult could reason an impulsive result as though it have been a literal sharp slap in the face.

If you are trying to hate Bush for the war then you are wrong. You should be blaming Clinton. Clinton knew of the war before anybody but he was to big of a scaredy cat to do anything about it. War isn't always bad and the people that go to war chose to. nobody made them go they wanted to.

I think the 30 years of terrorist attacks we endured pretty much wore out his patience and 9/11 was the topper.

Could you give me a specific? As far as I know this nation still has freedom of expression and freedom of assembly.
The turning of the other cheek portion has me mystified.
Perhaps you should compose your question before you smoke pot.

He prays every day for the strength to protect us. That's his duty. Do you want him to surrender to the terrorists like Clinton did? Or to love our enemies like Carter does?
