You can vote at 18, you can join the military, you can get a full time job. You can purchase a car and you own car insurance. You can be removed from your parent's insurance and be forced to get your own. You can be told to leave your parents home and be forced to get a place of your own and pay for it with your own money. You can be held legally responsible for everything you do. You can be arrested tried and convicted as an adult. You can be sued.

Be with somebody your own age or older.........vote, and buy your own shot gun!!!! I am not sure what your laws are on drinking, smoking but here in NY, buying cigarettes is even 19 years old now and drinking isn't until 21, which of course, everybody around here does,hahaha!!! Its hard growing up and being responsible huh? ; )

vote,have sex, buy porn, buy and smoke cigarettes, buy lottery tickets, go gambling, get a credit card,get married, rent an apartment, have your own checking and savings account without your parent's name....lots of things can happen when you're 18, that's why it's called adulthood after that

vote and drive, join the service, sign your own contracts (I wouldn't without SERIOUS advice from a person with experience in the area), get sued, etc.
