Murder, one of the worst of the worst is forgivable, but can never be justified. The consequences of committing murder, like first degree, must be extreme. That is why capital punishment, even imperfectly carried-out, is the suitable punishment. Popular notions of life-in-prison are only a relatively recent novelty.

Yes, I do; the world is a complex place, and there are so many possible situations that only a fool would rule out the necessity, in some unknown situation, to kill.
On the other hand, I subscribe to situational ethics (no, kids, that's not an e-magazine).

I can't imagine anything but a no. I'm a forgiving person but you use the word "murder" here, not accident. If someone knowingly and intentioanlly takes another's life, it is not forgivable on this plane.

I'd like to say no, to take a life is always unforgivable, but I think there are some situations that aren't as clear cut as that. For example, a woman who has been subjected to years of abuse hitting back and accidently killing their husband, or a man accidently killing an intruder. There are many shades of grey when it comes to this

murder? its just an act. the murderer? one of my relatives was brutally murdered a few years ago, i dont see how someone could...but God makes a way for the impossible...so yes, they can be forgiven. think of the quote, "forgiveness is unlocking the door to set someone free and realizing that you were the prisoner."

Yes. There are lots of circumstances where it would be. Sometimes people kill relatives who are dying in a lot of pain from a disease. What if you killed someone who you knew was a serial killer who would never be caught?

Strange as it sounds, yes, I believe some people do forgive, the one that killed their loved one, and the only way that is possible, is by the grace of our loving God....:)

yes. if someone in your family is murdered and you retaliate, it should be forgiven. or if, for example, your mother is in an abusive relationship, and u kill the person abusing her, the judge should turn the other cheek.
