I think TV's should be criminalized, and remote controls should shock anyone attempting to use one.

Source: Television is the drug of the masses.

Yes I do, without a doubt! If it is legal to purchase and consume alcohol then why the hold up on pot?!?!? I have never heard of ANYONE getting in a major accident because they were stoned. The problem lies with being able to tax and regulate it and they haven't found a way. You have medicinal marijuana but that is very controlled. If you are to go to Vancouver then you can actually smoke in certain shops during the day in a glass room in the back, at night once town hall closes you can smoke anywhere there, you can have marijuana COURIERED to your room, and as long as they don't find you with more than an ounce you won't get a ticket. Even if you do it is like a MIP here. That is more like it if you ask me.

It should be legal and regulated. Americans seem to want to be treated like they are pre-pubescent and need guidance. Marijuana is relatively safe and has a lot of medicinal benefits. Right now no one stands to make money off of it, and if it were legal it may impact alcohol sales so there is a huge lobby to keep it as the big bad bogey man.

Someday maybe Americans will grow up and just let people have their choices.

Yes I think marijuana should be legalized, IMO alcohol is a much worse drug. People I know that smoke pot don't get mean or abusive when they smoke like some do when they drink. I would much rather be around somebody who's stoned than someone who's drunk. Plus it could be a good source of tax revenue as well as freeing up law enforcement to go after the real drugs, like heroin, crack, pcp, etc.

Yes. I'd tell you why but it's self centered.

I can give my opinion on why it's NOT legal.
Long story short, not many people grow tomatoes to sell them. Marijuana can be grown in large quantities and sold (even where it is legal) and the only way the government would be able to regulate their tax cut, they would have to trust everyone to "register" their "farm" and keep an honest record of their growth and profit rates and it would be too easy to lie or just not comply with rules at all.

Marijuana must be evil otherwise everyone would be doing it.
Wait... everyone does do it... I suspect.

No, we don't need more potheads. If the government makes marijuana legal than people will want to make cocaine, heroin and other drugs legal. I think cigarettes should be illegal, b/c too many people die from it. It would be for everyone's own good. What's the point of getting addicted to something that will kill you.

Yes I do I think that if it were to be legalized that it would cut down on the crime rate, the dealers would lose their business because it would be legal for everyone no "middle man" to deal with !! Pot is a lazy drug, nobody has the energy to go out and rob a bank when they are high they want to stay in and veg out all day,but a person on meth gets the stupid idea that they are Superman and will go out and do stupid things like rob a bank, cars etc.. but pot smokers don't have that type of energy .!!!!!

Yes. If alcohol is then marijuana should. Think of the boost to the economy. More jobs as people could develope their own farms of it. People are gonna continue to smoke it anyways so the government may as well dip into some of the profits.

Absolutely, positively, YES!!!!

Pot is being lumped in with all sorts of other, truly dangerous destructive drugs - and it isn't FAIR! People who think one is the same as the other are just CLUELESS!

It's those METH FREAKS & such causing all the problems in society - NOT the peaceful pothead. Many otherwise responsible, law-abiding citizens ENJOY a good joint to unwind after a long hard day.....and there's NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!!!

Its use, however, should be limited to adults.

I think it should be. I think that it's not because the government would have a hard time taxing it. But if it was legal i think more people would smoke and chill out alil bit then maybe the world could slow down just alil bit and there could be peace while we all sit together and smoke a fat bowl !!

420 poke smot!!

I do. It's safer and less addictive than alcohol. It also is great for headaches and upset stomachs. It has more purposes than just getting high. And if it was sold in stores like beer is a lot less young people would be serving time in jail and getting roped in by hard core drug dealers.

By the way, I do not drink and I do not smoke pot, but I did grow up in the 70's.
