i think the media overhypes the whole black man dating white girl thing. I'm not against it. they overdo it though. interracial couples in the media always seem to have race as their biggest trouble. it's so freakin' annoying. why can't they be potrayed as a regular couple with problems other than race?

The media tends to pick apart any couple, they always find something to take a dig at, be it an age difference, one is famous, race etc. A good quote from Kris
"Some folks hate the whites
Who hate the blacks who hate the klan
Most of us hate anything that
We dont understand"

Interracial dating has always been a hotly debated topic, and everyone has an opinion about the issue.
The rise in mixed-race relationships is proof that the walls of racial separation are slowly crumbling. It lets us know that what once was a crime, is finally becoming commonplace. However there are those people that still try to get shock value in the news with attempts at stirring the bigotry pot.
The world should look at all relationships as love between two people without regard to their race. You would think by now our society would have better things to argue about than interracial dating and marrying.

I agree I think if networks put show on with interracial couples but didn't make the show all about an interacial couples, it would be very awesome. We need to see more real life potrayed in TV There are interracial couples out there and obviously race is not an issue in their marrige or they wouldn't be married in the first place. We need to see TV brake common stereotype in order to help move are society foward.

you know let the media do what they do best cause trouble for families when they want to start stuff

if the family is happy it should not matter what race the couple is.
i am white mixed with Cherokee and Apache
my daughter in law is Hispanic
my son in law is black
my other daughter in law is white
so if the media whats to say something about it. OK, my extended family don't care.

and yes i have family members who don't like the idea of mixed races, but just look at us Dutch, Netherlands, Cherokee and Apache, now is there a true race, i don't think so and yes that is my opinion.

Because race is a major factor depending on where you live....you would have to be a bit naive to think otherwise...unfortunately racism still exists and interracial couples do have to deal with these factors. For example - a black man and white woman - the white woman will get stares and rude comments from white people and many black women. The man will probably get it from all sides. I love to see interracial couples together because it makes us one step closer to one race - mixed.....kinda like gumbo!!

Annoying, isn't it? The Media folks are a different breed than regular white folks. They are like sales-people on cocaine. Nothing that they didn't see when they were growing up can be considered normal to them. Maybe the race 'angle' is 'sexier' than just a couple going about their daily lives. The Media folk love to shock and challenge people, you know.

It's overplayed. Because there's nothing wrong with interracial relationships. Love is love and knows no boundaries or limits such as race. And we all bleed the same color blood anyway. I say more power to mixing races...we'll all be better for it in the future!!

Because that's our society. They're insecure with their own relationships, so to be able to talk down about an interracial couple makes them feel better about themselves. So many people are faster to judge than just join hands and get along.

My dad is in an interracial marriage. None of their problems are due to their difference of race.

its because most media creeps are loose or inferior and think they are all that behind cameras. i agree a couple is a couple no matter what race. every race thinks of it self as inferior.
