How dare George Bush veto stem cell research when it passed through both houses of congress and it's supported by 2/3 of the American public??!! He supports a pointless war that has killed over 2500 Americans, and he has the gall to say that he won't support "murder", even though it could save thousands of lives. I am outraged!

He was playing politics . Thank you Mr. Bush for killing all those people , waiting for help .
Who said that one life not born is any more valuable then one born and needing the help Stem Cell Research might give them . Did you know that if they don't use them , they throw them away , what a wast .
How will we know if it may do some good if we don't try . And we have a closed mind .

You libs just don't get it do you. The president has veto power as part of the check and balance system. Furthermore he didn't say that stem cell research can't be done he just said that there would be no federal funding (which under the constitution is as it should be) so why don't you stop whining and get on line find a charity that funds it and give to that charity and I will give my money to whom ever I see fit?

I bet everyone who is against stem cell research would change their minds if it was them it could benefit or someone they love. Not all stem cell research is preformed on aborted embryos. People need to research and gain knowledge before they condemn something. Bush just has an agenda. Murder is fine as long as he gets to be in charge.

Nothing GWB has done indicates he is willing to abide by the wishes of the electorate. He has his own agenda, and will enact as much of it as possible in as permanent a manner as possible while he has the power to do so. Even if there are 2 or 3 good Democrat presidents elected back to back after Bush's admininstration, it will take years to undo the harm of his time in office.

You need to review how stem cells were being harvested
from new born infants and then change your attitude. Don't get
indignant then make a fool out of yourself with poor logic

stem cells can be found in adults too, they are found throughout the body and are the same repair cells found in embryo's.
