There was a time like that. I felt very close to God then too. It was from the beginning of 1998 until mid-2001. That also happens to be when I was in high school.

And no, before anyone asks... I'm not one of those who thought high school was "the best life will ever get." haha. But it was just a more carefree time. I had all kinds of peace of mind and time to devote to developing myself. Becoming a better person was at the top of my everyday priority list, because I had the ability and freedom to put it there. Of course at the time, I didn't realize how worry-free my life actually was. But I think most teenagers go through that.

As I've gotten older, life isn't so carefree. There are real worries (mostly financial). It can be quite a burden. And even when you do place your trust in God, it's not always possible to just be carefree and think everything is "perfect." Sometimes all we can do is acknowledge the struggle and pray for blessing, grace, and strength.

You know, you don't realize what you have until you lose it. I say wait for a while and see what happens. Everything does fall into place. It just may not be perfect.

Everything is perfect in all times of our lives. It's just how we perceive things. May you find beauty and perfection in every stage of your life.
