She sits in her corner
Singing herself to sleep
Wrapped in all of the promises
That no one seems to keep
She no longer cries to herself,
No tears left to wash away
Just diaries of empty pages,
Feelings gone astray
But she will sing

'Till everything burns
While everyone screams
Burning their lies
Burning my dreams
All of this hate
And all of this pain
I'll burn it all down
As my anger reigns
'Till everything burns

Walking through life unnoticed
Knowing that no one cares
Too consumed in their masquerade
No one sees her there
And still she sings

To many times people walk around with smiles painted on there faces when there dying inside. Those are the people who commit suicide. Or the people who are too stuck on themselves. i think you poem is very awesome.. you have a great talent. The best poems are the ones you can feel the emotions in and in this you can defiantly feel the emotions, and it touches the heart...

Sounds like a depressed pity party. Whoever wrote this poem probably needs to stop feeling sorry for herself and see what life is all about! I was a hospice nurse and have seen the beauty and value of life.....seeing it through the death of others. Appreciate each day and make it what you want it to be.

I'ts good. But the other person mentioned like it sounds depressed. It is. You're very talented. But let me tell you this. Many artists whether musicians or painters are super sensitive like yourself. And it's sad to say that most artist do suffered from some form of depression due to they sensitive nature. It is not ironny to say, however, that those that are most creative and created the best work tend to know how to express themselves through their condition. that's why the best artists and writers tend to commit suicide part of it was from their heavy drinking and most of them do do drugs and drink. not to be creative but to escape. I'm sorry to have to tell you this. Please see your doctor if you don't already have and if you do feel some form of unexplainable pain inside of yourself. I, too, have to get myself checked after having read a book read by William styron, titled "Darkness vision". Why am I telling you these? I am a musician/poem writer/artist/philosoper/electronics guru by nature. What I did here online gives me ways of expressing my knowledge and myself by answering questions to release some form of creativity when I feel bored. I don't know how to relax. So, yes, very well written poem but sad.

I like it!

But it lacks total balance and rhythm in the last stanza and it needs appropriate punctuation throughout.

It's quite good, especially as a song. Roll with it and see where it goes!
