my stepdad was the same way now i live on my own and am married and there is still juck under my bed tell him that his energy can be used for future battles that might actually matter this is stupid and will cause the son in question to care less and listen less so you will have a real problem when it comes to important things and if the only thing your husband can find to get mad about is this you have a damn good son he should be praised my sisters were doing pot at his age and me and him get yelled at for an imperfect room kinda made me want to give my step dad something to ***** about dont let your son be pushed to that

Ummm... At least they dont have magazines (ones you dont' want to see) under the bed...
But for a normal teen, there are candy wrappers everywhere, cloths on the floor, shoues in od places.. papers and books all over the desk and floor... cups and a plate or two by the computer... etc...
It sounds like a couple of wrappers under the bed or in the room is not a big thing... I'd say congradulate your son for actually not being a slob of a teenagers... If the room has been dusted in the last year and vacumed in the last six, it is a improvement over the norm...

I'm 14 and under my bed there are shoes, but no candy wrappers lol My mom told me if she finds a candy wrapper under my bed that she will make me clean everyday. Plus I have a trash can to throw away papers and garbage. Other then that your husband is a clean freak. From what I know many teenagers do have candy wrappers under there beds and papers and this is normal for a teen. Only I have learned never to have trash on my floor or else I will get in trouble and some of my privileges will be taken away. I think being neat and clean is nice, but then it takes the fun away of being a teenager. Your husband reminds me allot of my mom. I'm actually scared of my mom when it comes to cleaning. She does not like any trash or wrappers on the floor. I think that's why our house is so clean and I know for a fact that she too is a clean freak. I think your husband should take a chill pill because anyways at one point your son will clean his room. Only my mom has a hard time getting it through her head. She always says she is preparing us for when we have a house. Only I believe that she is taking away the fun of being a teenager and the fun of acting like one too. Well Good Luck on your husband and your son.
Ciao~

OMG my daughter's room looks like a tornado just went through it. Tell your husband to chill and shut the door to the bedroom.
Kids are definitely messy.
They have the rest of their lives to keep stuff cleaned up.
I think he is worrying about nothing and that it will cause him and his son to have a bad relationship. It's not worth fighting over.
If I want my daughter to clean her room, I bribe her...with money of course...but for the most part -- it's a sty. She knows where everything is. Her clothes she wears are clean each day (the dirty stuf finds its way into the laundry) and her school work gets done and she gets good grades. Why make a big deal out of being messy?

Iam 15 and there is a CRAP load of stuff under my bed. Candy wrappers, socks, clothes, game console controllers, wires, games, papers, school books, WAY TO MUCH TO PUT IN THIS. It is normal for a kid my age and other teens to get stuff under there bed. Just make sure they clean it like once a week....or atleast rearrange it?

sounds liek ur husband lieks everything clean. and if that is the way he feels then stay up to date and clean things more often. its not that big of a problem...i would be worrying about if my 15 year old son eats too much candy instead of seeing the candy wrapper under his bed. btw... whats under my bed is no ones buisness lol

I have alot of stuff under my bed, from clothes to books to pictures. Its normal for teen's room to be messy. It just that I don't find enough time in my day to really worry about it. I rather be on the phone, on the internet, playing playstation, I'm at work or just out with friends. There's no time to clean our rooms. We have our whole lives to worry about that type of stuff so we don't bother with it right now.

Why is he even looking under the bed???? I'd say if he wants to find something more interesting then a stupid candy wrapper then look in the closet under or in the hamper... thats where my brother keeps all his nudy mags..... I find them every time I'm doing laundry.... or in his drawers..... but a candy wrapper... how pathetic.... poor kid.

lets see:
a shoe i've been lookin for
some empty bottles
2 magazines
a ball
bunch of trash
a cd
a disposable camera
and a lot more junk
tell him to stop worrying so much. a kids room is allowed to be messy. it's the one place in the house that they should be able to keep however they want.
