Wrong perspective. Sometimes men are intimidated by a beautiful, intelligent, or successful woman. So if the woman doesn't make the first move, nothing ever happens. Are they really aggressive or just bold enough to make the first move?
I remember a perfect example about 20 years ago. I was in a non-participant mood, but went to a CW dance hall with the intention of sitting and listening. After a while, someone asked if the seat next to me was taken. Nope, so she sat down, so over the next couple of hours, I finally asked her to dance. That was the start of one of the hottest romances I ever had.
