I just recenlty set-up a 75 gallon aquarium. Right now the only fish in it are 3 Bala Sharks and 1 Black Ghost Knife Fish. I was wondering if a Rainbow Shark would be a compatible fit for the tank?

Personally, I think a rainbow would be a good fit in your 75. They are not agressive and will create some movement in the lower areas.

The balas will be very mobile in the upper part of the tank. You might consider getting 2-3 more balas though, they are schooling fish and need more than a couple buddies to feel comfortable. Are you aware of how big the balas get?

Be sure to get your ghost a tube of some kind for him to hide in. They need to be able to "feel" enclosed. A piece of PVC pipe is perfect for them. Did you know that the ghosts emit a small electrical field that helps them locate things in the dark.

I agree with the little Ballerina here. Balas and the ghost knife get quite large. 75 gal once they are full size will be crowded with the 4 fish you have now. I wouldn't add anymore fish with the exception on maybe 1 pleco.

no, your way overstocked right now.

balas will reach over 14 inches each, and jumpers.
BGK will reach about 18-21 inches. (i have over 20 of them, i know)

rainbow shark will probaby not fair well with BGK.
