I think both are so ingrained with their own corrupt agenda nothing will ever change for the better.

You only as good as your last painting? So what is new except for the spin and sound bites?

What is an up and coming party which really wants good for the people and the world?

We need a new party - someone who is not out to feather their pockets or in search of glory. We need MPs who are paid an average national wage and are not allowed to take on additional jobs so that they are more in touch with ordinary people (they can claim genuine expenses). We need someone who is imbued with common sense and not afraid to use it. Someone who will really represent (serve) the people and who will listen and act for them, honestly and with integrity. Someone who will stand up for the British - English as well as Welsh and Scots and not be afraid to recognise that we are all proud of our heritage and culture and that we can live together in harmony if we are given the chance.

Anyone up for it? I'll vote for you!

an intresting point is that liberal democrats only ever had control completely during a similar period at the beginning of the last century

labour had only just been formed at the end of the 1890s and was not yet strong enough to mount a serious challenge and people were very disillusioned with the two parties that were in power bcos the industrial revolution was leading to a lot of upheaval and government was not doing its job well enough and helping out the common man, laws were being passed to help some mill owners and businessmen moire than others

a lot of eople forget that teh liberal party is just that, its 'liberal' and can encompass lots of beliefs - only recently have they been sidelined increasingly as bleeding hearts and a wasted vote

one should remember that the nhs was originally started by a liberal philanthropist and was never intended to be taken over and controlled by government

it is entirely possible also that conservatives and labour will take votes off each other giving liberals a chance in next election, so we could see history repeating itself especially as a lot of people like to support the underdog and the actual membership of the liberal party is quite wide ranging as most students start off liberal and become conservative when they get fed up with the system ;o)

The recent upturn in support for the BNP shows that we are witnessing a groundswell of dissatisfaction with all the major parties. I am with you, I do not support Labour, Conservatives or Lib Dems. or the BNP.

The way people en masse are refusing to vote shows also that there is no such thing as a mainstream political party anymore. the lying media (who work to the same corrupt agenda as the tories and labour) will keep trying to convince the public that they are the only 'real' choice at the next general election. unfortunately many people will swallow this rubbish and go out and very reluctantly vote for one of these two parties, mainly to try to stop the other from winning. What a DUMB reason to vote. Most people who do vote, are actually voting against someone, instead of voting for someone.

Looking at the statistics, Labour won with only 22% of the public voting for them. Labour is massively less popular today than then, However the tories are not taking up the lost labour votes.

At the next election, it could be that due to the corrupt and badly scewed election boundries, Labour could win with only 17% of the public voting for them.

However, if the (by then) majority of the UK who cannot stand any of the 'main' parties actually united and voted for a Pro UK party, we could actually restore democracy and kick all of the main parties A$$es out of power.

We will never have a better opportunity. the question is, who are we going to vote for, I quite like UKIP, they could not possibly do a worse job than Blair and his evil lying child murdering war criminal cronies.

Now IS the time to build support amongst non voters, because we are now the majority force.

Now your going to really lay into me over this reply , but before we start rolling up our sleeves.......I voted BNP just like everybody else I know and just like 21% of the public did last time out.Why?.....The changes this party has in mind will will take your breath away. I don't want , snivelling, gutless, spineless, shoulder shruggers that have never done a hard days labour in their lives along with cavalier boot licking Tories that piss their pants at controversy. England has always been a warrior nation feared throughout the world , an intellectual superiority envied
by all nations. This now almost long gone except by the fighting few that will bring it back from the decline of this once proud
great nation since the Roman empire. The BNP do not lie as their policy is one of virulent aggression .The message is clear, a full assault on anything and anyone that will destroy common sense where people are just to afraid to speak for fear of ridicule. We are called Nazis, not nationalists, we are called fascists, not patriots,we are all white as we were when we fought other greater nations a thousand years ago , so we now have to be contrite and prostrate in humbled apology for ever having done so ?? we need men, not 'learned gentlemen' leave it to them and you will have to speak six languages to order a coffee in this country.
Its time for a divine wind of ruthless change and its only this party and these men that can and will do it .

Clearly the most likely party to come to power if not Labour or Tory is the Liberal Democrats, and with more and more people opposing the Iraq war and both the Labour and Conservative parties following the Liberal Democrats on environmental issues, I think the Lib Dems will gain a huge number of seats in the next general election.

I think of Labour as a conservative party for the working-class. So really it's between Conservatives and Lib Dems lol

Hi! Labour is in for a run for their money when the Scottish Boundaries change ... nearly all of Scottish MP's are Labour.. Labour is no longer the working persons party - they all want to be Snobs.. best example of that is John " 2shags" Prescott .. used to be a waiter on a ferry now he laps it up & shags sad bints who love chipalatas..and plays crochet.. " Yo Blair " is a star though he is a great actor.. he even hides his earpiece at thoses staged press meetings well.. The Tories & the Lib Dems are weak...ah! well Monster Raving Loony Party it is then ..

Oh, I think the libertarian party is going to start to really grow over the next 10 years or so.

I think people are just about fed up being taxed by the leftist so they can hand out social programs to buy votes. They are equally tired of Merchantilist Conservatives taxing us and handing out corporate welfare to select industries. They both have manipulated taxes to benefit their supporters and to push their own social agenda's.

People are going to come around to the idea that government creates more problems than it solves and a smaller simpler government might be better. They also realise that the purpose of taxes is to fund the legitimate purposes of government, not to punish the rich, social engineering, or to enforce a behavior code they can't otherwise legislate.

I think people are losing more and more patience with Labour and I think due to the current events unfolding within the middle-east and the lack of action taken by Mr Blair, the next election result could prove to be a real shock for him. I don't support any political party but that's what I expect could happen.
