click on the plus sign in the upper left hand corner, then type in the name in the bar, then click add buddy

if you have yahoo messenger with voice, click the plus sign right under ur pic! and then type the email address and say ok..thats how u do it

click on add and type the yahoo id of the contact

when your chatting on line with somone in your im box you would find the option of add just click that and it will guide you from there.you can see that person is in your list.
hey but just remember to ask the person first if he wants to add you.

there's a little tab that has a yellow plus sign on it..
Click on that then enter their screen name and viola!
