You really are confused. Let me explain...
Quake is one of the oldest first person shooters, it has revolutinized computer graphics with each grafic engine. Quake 1,2 and 's have great storylines and exiting gameplay. Quake 3 on the other hand was designed exclusivley for multi player (maybe you played this game, it's similar to Halo). Okay ? Now, don't you feel silly about your question ?
