If you couldn't find "interset" (your word) in him, why did you have sex with him? I'm not interested in golf...I don't play it. I'm not interested in fishing, so I don't fish. Why would you have unprotected sex with a guy you didn't like? That's just plain stupid. I hope to heck he takes you to court and is granted at least joint custody of his child.

My sister was going through the same thing so I know. The doctor doesn't need to know but any information that you do have will only help your baby in the future. For example family medical history. But if you don't know for sure and don't want to be bothered at all with the father then the doctors always can do tests. It is a very common thing now a days.

With my first son the Dr. office asked for info on my husband. With my pregnancy now I have a different Dr. and they haven't asked for any info about my husband. So I guess it depends on the office you go to. I know on my son's birth certificate it does have my husband's date of birth and place of birth though. I would say ask him just so you can know what runs in his family. I do commend you for not just staying with him b/c you are having a child together though. Congrats on the baby.

You need the fathers info on the birth certificate. You should also know his medical history, anything serious could be passed to your child.

sometimes the want to know his blood type, because of the whole RH thing, but other than that, just stuff like family history of diabetes, mental retardation, physical deformity, insanity, bipolar disorder, or any genetic diseases. Also his nationality to rule out gentic diseases like sickle cell anemia, or tay sachs disease. They don't care where he was born. most of the q's will be about you.

Of course. Any information at all about him will be helpful. Especially information about family and his medical histories. Also, your child will someday want to know about him.

you will be asked about his family history like cancer, diabetis any type of illness that is in his family history, also do you want the baby to take his last name? he'll have to sign paper's and stuff like that, call your local hospital or your doctor and ask them what will be required. good luck and congratulations, if it is a girl name her after me, sara camill

Get any family history from the guy for your child. Things like heart disease, diabetes, are genetic.
