By "chick band," I mean the ladies front the band, however there can be males that are part of the band (instrumentalists).

It's a toss up, if you're talking all female band, it could be the gogos (not the hardest rocking EVER but definitely the most successful), but if you're talking just a female involved it could go to the Pixies, cheap trick, Jefferson Airplane, etc. Heck, if you're talking just feminine NAMES, it could go to the Barenaked Ladies or Violent Femmes. But it all depends upon what you mean
