Nothing automatically assures anyone that someone else is gay.

Up to and including having sex with someone of the same gender. Things arent quite that simple i'm afraid.

We are dealing with percentages and what is likely here. A better question would be "When you see avatars with the rainbow behind them, does that mean they're most likely to be gay?" now thats a good question.

In my opinion its a good 50/50 shot.

No- I wish people would stop automatically thinking those things of things so innocent-God created rainbows. Kids draw rainbows. Everyone likes rainbows.

not always.
and going by some of the comments here, it's really absurd how many people think we "hijacked" the rainbow or have some exclusive rights to it. gays/lesbians aren't the only group who use the rainbow symbolically...and that's all! the rainbow flag is a symbol of our unity. we don't claim to own it! It's almost comical how many people actually think that!

Someone else just asked this question. No, it doesn't. The rainbow has only over the past decade or so been adopted by the gay community.

Nope. Anybody can put a rainbow behind their avatar. Its a good guess they might be then. If you think the person is nice, chat with him or her and see what you can find out!

Nope, they could just like rainbows. Rainbows symbolize many other things as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, gay-friendly pride, like hope. Though in the GLBTQ area it's a pretty safe bet, but not fool proof.

not always, some girls just use it for the heck of it, some guys use it to be silly. and then there are the ones that are gay and lesbian and bi and stuff. it doesnt always mean it. personally i have always though rainbows were beautiful in real life but animated ones look so retarded.

I think so, but thats' retarded. I LOVE rainbows and I'm not gay. I hate how rainbows have become a "gay" thing.

No. If a guy grew to become into donning a rainbow bracelet it would be unusual, in spite of the shown fact that it wouldnt propose he grew to become into gay. And if a woman wore a rainbow bracelet I wouldnt think of two times approximately it, infact i might probobly think of it grew to become into stunning. desire I helped =D

It just means they like rainbows.

What makes you think that gays have exclusive rights to rainbows?
