Over half million Americans died for Koreans in their pitiful civil war. We have pumped trillions of dollars into their economy to help them stand on their feet and yet they are so ungrateful and mistreating American service men and American ESL teachers in their country. Why?

1. Your numbers are way off.
2. The older folks aren't ungrateful. Far from it.
3. Students are restless smartasses all over the world, not just in the orient.
4. Orientals tend to be quite race-conscious and prejudiced.
5. They are tired of their country being partitioned, and are tired of their rulers putting up with it - a situation to which USA is seen as a big contributor.
6. They supported us in Vietnam and fought there with us, but didn't get much thanks for it.

I'm part Korean, and uhm. I'm pretty grateful, but I can't speak for the ENTIRE COUNTRY of Korea. SOoooooooo... Who knows? I was never really FOND of being part Korean..
