I would rather be a monkey in a lake. The monkey has the capability to adapt to eat new things (other than bananas) and drink water. The sheep, though, is doomed for life, just stuck on a mountain with no possibility of interaction (except mountain lions...YIKES) and very little food choices (more than likely no water- which is a critical survival element for any animal). I'm not a biologist, but the latter seems to make a lot more sense.

I'll take being the sheep in the mountains with a balloon tied to my tail, may be I can rub my a$$ up against some rocks to get rid of the balloon sooner or later.........

Monkey, swim to shore and live on the waterfront, eat (doesnt have to be bananas), then steal a balloon and have the best of both worlds!
