I believe that love should be a positive thing but for some ppl it can become a vehicle for other emotions under the guise of love. Jude hit on a couple there by mentioning jealousy etc. such emotions can cloud ones judgement and make it a destructive experience rather than a positive enduring one. In answer to your question, true love , selfless, positive love.. No you cannot love too much. As for the other, the controlling, jealous, insecure false form of love then..recognise it for what it is..Trouble!!

Oh, yes. Most clear of scenarios - you love them too much, they don't love you. Results can range from minor depression to successful suicide attempts.
Less clear scenarios... include jealousy, possessiveness, insecurity, whatever.
You need to, always, love yourself first. Trust me, that doesn't mean you don't love your partner enough, but that you are capable of loving him/her better. I mean qualitatively, not quantitavely. Relax, breathe deep, and give them the chance to breathe too.
Good luck!

Yes, when you love someone so much that you hurt yourself or if you allow them to hurt you. Love doesn't mean being in pain, either physically or emotionally.

yes if you happen to be spending too much time with that person, and also if that person makes you happy all the time. you end up thinking about the things s/he does all the time ,hence you become fond of that person.

As long as it is love and not obsession, no. If someone is no good for you and keeps hurting you but you make excuses for them, it isn't love, it is obsession and not healthy.
