Do you believe that a relationship could be as good as it was if you had dated ten years ago?

I met a guy and we dated and then I was decieved into believing that he cheated on me. Now many years later we have become very good friends again, though we are both married with kid(s), we wonder what coulda, shoulda, woulda been.

I would really advise you not to expect things to be excactly the same as they were ten years ago. They may be better, they may be worse, but so many things change in the span of one year, let alone ten. I would look at it as a new relationship, because although you did know him at one time, you don't know the new him completely yet, so anticipating the same person excatly as he was a decade ago, could end up being very misleading. Not to say that this is a negetive thing, because it may be wonderful, but be careful before making an assumption. Get to know eachother as the people you are NOW, and much luck to you. Hope it all works out.

If you're both married (and especially with kids), stop thinking of could, shoulda, woulda-- you're just going to make yourself miserable.

most definately, time apart only makes the heart grow fonder, but if your both married I'd really do some soul searching about what you want, If they were your first love, you will never forget that but you can also never go back, I know this happened to me.
