Sure if you are not going to be in the sun and if you want to wear black and the black whatever is something you feel comfortable in and is appropriate for the occasion. If not wear what you want to and what is appropriate. If your boyfriend wants to dress you up like a ho to show you off and you hate that do not do it and dump the dude and start looking around for a new boy friend. If you like to dress like a ho go for it. Do what you want to do. If dressing in black pleases you then do it.

Depends on whether you want to dress to please him or yourself (assuming you had another color in mind). Although if the party is with people your boyfriend knows, he might be telling you to wear black because he knows it will help you fit in with that specific crowd. I've been the girl in white lace in a room full of black wearing hipsters and I wish my boyfriend would have clued me in about that scene.

o.k. if the party is wild fun cool hoppin and fun like a club or something, no way! wear hot pink or lime green or something, but if its like a slow dance , hardley any dancin party sure that would be a good color.!!

It depends on the type of the party. If it were me, i would wear black. Oh yes. Love that black. (It's not like i would attend a party anyways)

it depends on how old you are, if your over 15 yes, if you are younger here are some color suggestions,red,navy blue or lime green. if he doesn't understand hes not a good boyfriend.
