Well, some of the scars maybe permanent... but, you can always try coca or shea butter lotion to lighten the scars, or go to your local drug mart and and look for scar removal patches or creams.. they should be in the first aid section. well, hope i helped.. if my suggestions don't work, you can always go to a dermentologist, or a skin clinic, they offer a variety of services to help remove and lighten scaring left behind from acne.
I don't have severe acne, but i have it, and i also have scars that come with acne. I used Neutrogena Multi Vitamin Facial Treatmen (?) .. its something along the lines of that. It really helped lighten my scars. My face looks so much better for that.
Well, i do hope that i helped you in some small way. =D
take care,
-Megan

Sometimes they do not heal without the intervention of a dermatologist. If they have been there for more than 2 months I would consult a doctor especially if your acne is resolved. I know dermatologists have some methods that work. I know it is important to find a reputable one. There are also over the counter remedies, but I do not know if those work.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Depends on genetics. You may scar easily as a result of that. But my face has taken over a week to heal. You might want to try ambi its a skin discoloration cream that helps speed the healing process.

Well some never heal unfortunately. However, vitamin E capsules do work wonders with scars. I would definitely try that. Buy the capsules break open and apply gel directly on skin. My brother in law had a scar on his face and used this, you can't even see it anymore.

Sometimes they take a few months, sometimes they don't. Talk to a dermatologist and try some over the counter scar remedies, like Mederma.

Healing will improve with Vitamin E cream, I think. My mom has bad scarring still, so I don't know if it always heals totally...

Sometimes the scars do not go away. However, there are procedures to make the skin smooth again. Talk to a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.
