Hi, I have heard of this. Ginger can be used for many ailments including sinus congestion. You can also try eating some candied ginger for your congestion or drinking some ginger tea. I learned of ginger's medicinal applications in massage school and have recommended it often. People have been using ginger for an upset stomach for years but many of them have no clue about all the other uses of ginger. Thank God for ginger!!

Yes it works well. Even better when combined with tea tree oil and some eucalyptus as they are antiseptic and disperse mucus through the heat of the steam.
