It seems to me with the world going in the crapper it's a rinky dink little problem.

I too don't really understand the big deal. Honestly people marry and divorce at such an astronomical rate, that the very idea seems trivial at best. If john and bob, or tina and sue down the street want to be "married" then as long as it doesn't affect me, or my family, who cares.

Sometimes I wonder if it isn't more relative of the times when people of the United States felt that woman and blacks didn't deserve equal rights, equal opportunity. Take some of the statements people say about gay marriage, and substiture Gay for Black and then see just how logical their arguments are.

I've known gay people before, and there are a lot of fears about them amongst the common people in the world. They live, eat and breathe the same as you and I. What they do in their house together, as long as its not illegal, shouldn't affect the rights the government is willing to afford them.

The day the Constitution is used to deny a class of people rights, is the day the US has failed.

I don't believe its a 'rinky dink problem, but personally, I don't really care.
If two gays or lesbians want to get married, more power to them, but sometimes you just have to be careful what you wish for.
I don't know of too many gay or lesbian couples that stay together "that' long, and if the trend is accurate, they are much better off not being legally married.
With the exception of a few things, everything can be prearranged through a legal contract at the moment they decided to become a permanent couple. Not really much different than a pre-nup, however without the expense of divorce lawyers and the like.
Now, they can just call it done, and move on. As to gays and lesbian couples who have children, set the custody issue in place in case of "divorce", sign, seal and deliver it to anyone that may make a fuss, deal with it before hand in the courts, then when or it they split up, the courts have already heard the issue and not one person has a leg to stand on.
So, do I care, no. Does conservative society, Yes. Does God, no clue, but since I am not gay or lesbian, that is one cross I won't have to bear. Lord knows, I have enough already.

Yes the world is going in the crapper. It used to be all t.v was good for was sex and violence. Now its sex violence and q.u.ee.rs. Its become trendy in society today to be G.A.y. As if it is all right now to be a homo. Well it is not all right! In fact it could not be more wrong! Man on Man for the obvious reasons is wrong. And they are not born that way people choose to stick they birdies up other people's poop shoots. It's not till that very second do you turn into a homo. Thats a choice my frend. The more this world keeps having fools with this " they arent bothering me " " whats the big deal it doesnt effect me " attitude you are gonna have to put up with more and more of this taboo and totally for bidden behavior. The creator of us all and all of everything God has forbidden this! These sodomites will burn in the lake of fire. Thats whats great about it. And unfortuneately if you accept it you probably dont know God. Or shall I say the ways of God! And youll go to the lake of fire also. Guilty by association. So if the crapper you are refering to is the lake of fire brimestone You and all the Homos can have an eternity of burning down there have fun, oh sorry hell is the equivalent of how wrong homo's are so there will be no fun. Just nashing of teeth endless nashing of teeth. But if you repent now you can be saved from total damnation. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart and repent. It wont be a bed of roses it will be hard but its better than a hard one up the butt and a lake of fire!!!!!

Rinky dink little problem! Marriage is a union between 1 man and 1 woman. God did not create us to have gay relationships. This is just another tool for the devil to work his havic. Read the Bible it will explain it all to you and it will open your eyes to the truth.

I do not know what the big deal is. there r a lot more pressing problems in the world then whom marries whom. who cares if u marry the oposite sex, the same sex sht u could marry a farm animal 4 all I care just do not bring ur bedroom issues into my home.

the world needs 2 chill marriage should be based on 2 people loving each other n wanting 2 spend the rest of their lives 2gether. n they need 2 stop worrying about what people do in the privacy of their own freaking homes n in their personal lifes. ur personal life is ur personal life.

Oh yeah, people really do care. Why, I do not really know. Some say it is religion, but I really think it is fear of the unknown. There was a recent victory for those who are in a civil union(or resolving one) in Vermont. A good friend of mine just won in the Vermont State Supreme court a decision that will set presidence for the rest of the country to follow....She was granted child custody and visitaion rights that will extend even though the child no longer lives in a state that recognizes civil unions or gay marraige. I say BRAVO!! Just becase my friend is homosexual does not mean she loves her child any less!!!

if 2 people want to have a civil union its there business but why do they want to call it a marriage.
a marriage is between a man and a woman.
i wish they would leave the sanctity of marriage to stand for a union between a man and woman

I think it is wrong. Being Gay is wrong. I also think that they shouldn't have the right to have or adopt kids. If they want these things they need to marry and be with the opposite sex, like normal healthy people to.
