You should get up at least 30 minutes earlier and take a walk/run/jog for as long as you like, but remember that fat burns after 20 minutes.. or so I've heard. And eat a lot of healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits, PASTAAAA. But watch your food portions because that's also a big factor in losing weight and maintaing it. Drink lots of water, and don't be discouraged!

Dear Jade,
As tempting as it sounds don't try pills or quick weight loss programs. They are meant for adults. You didn't gain those extra pounds in a couple of weeks, so don't expect to lose it that fast. If you starve yourself, your brain will go into an emergency mode, It will cause you to crave more and more until you give in. You'll end up at 160+ 10 pounds. Most of those diets are made for adults.
Child diets are VERY different. And for good reasons. Your body needs certain amounts of fat, minerals and nutrients from food that adults cut out of their menu to drop weight. The best advice for any weight loss for a child is to check with your pediatrician. Have your Mom or Dad take you to one and let them decide what is the best plan. The doc may want to do some blood work first to make sure you don't have an underlying reason for the sudden weight gain. Providing it was sudden. They will check your thyroid to make sure it is functioning properly.
What you can do in the mean time is cut out cakes, candy, soda of any kind, Carbonated drinks give you a big belly. So there's a great trade off there! No soda, no big belly! Eat less, exercise more is the rule, but only when you get the doctors go ahead. They will also give you a diet. Most of them have them already printed out for patient's.
Take care and don't worry so much!
Regards,
Raylene♥

♥ hey ♥
We are only a four pound difference. I am working on my weight too. So far, What seems to be working is eating a lot of fruit. And some veggies. Try a Wendy's ceaser side salad! Yummi! Try some organic food. It's healthy and tastes GREAT! Most of it. Haha. Try a variety of workouts. If you go over the same one then you won't lose weight because your body will be used to it. Try some Tae Bo, Pilates, Yoga, walk outside for half an hour, jog, swim, play basket ball, Get an Ab Lounge. Try workouts from magazines too. Just mix it up! A variety is always the workout answer. Maybe we could be fitness buddies or something. I won't be offended if you pass. But email me or something.
Good Luck. & God Bless.

Some people need to follow a strict diet - calorie count, carb count, points, etc. I would recommend just watching your portions, try to be conscientious of how much you are eating. Don't consume until you are stuffed. Also, eliminate all simple sugars from your diet, candies, cookies, cakes, etc. and cut back on white breads - eat whole grains when bread is needed. Also cut out any drinks that have calories. Why waste calories on soda, juice, etc. Drink water. And last, try to add more exercise to your life. Walk more and think about trying out a new sport or class from your local rec center. It has to be fun to make it long term. And remember, it took a long time to put the weight on, it could take several months to get it off. Good Luck

Well what you need to do is cut out all sweets. No pop, no fast food. Also cut all your food in half. So instead of 2 plates of food cut down to one and then in 3 months cut down to half. Also dont eat any breaded foods. Like deep fried. Also Chicken and Fish are the healthiest to eat. but remember not fried chicken. Try more grilled, or filet. Also you need to exercise like everyday almost, you can never take a day off with ur health. Do alot of cardio cuz whats the point of being thin if you have bad arteries. and a bad heart.

You need to watch what you eat. Take in 1200 calories a day and exercise and drink at least 64 oz of water a day. Don't eat the fast food and eat healthy food. If you have the money you could try Nutrisytem, the meals are all prepared and you just have to add vegetables and fruit. I have lost 50 lbs on this plan and if you follow it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it will work. Good luck

first talk to your parents about how you feel about yourself, then make sure to drop the sweets and the coke, exercise and do sit ups b4 bed and eat right.
maybe ask you parents if you could see a nutritionist- because at are young so you sort of "need" the food to grow.
Just be ACTIVE and dont be a couch potato. When you go out with your mom places, tell her to park far away from the building, that way you have to WALK there and u can burn some calories.
Just remember to stay healthy because that is very important when it comes to loosing weight.

Your weight really depends on your height too. If you are a tall person you may not be over weight. Please, take time to talk to your doctor if you feel that you are over weight. Your doctor will be able to tell you if you are within the average weight table or if you really do need to loose some weight.
Your doctor will also be able to suggest or perhaps even prescribe for you some medicine
to help you out.
Good Luck and Stay Happy!

Jade,
Join a sports team after school You don't have to be good at the sport or know anything about it. Just go to practice.
When you become active, your body will tell you what to eat (ie, drinking water instead of sodas, eating more fruits and vegetables, etc.).
Some good teams to go for are track, basketball, softball and field hockey.
The weight will come off before you realize it.

Stay away from the fast food restaurants, eat more salads, try not to drink too much caffeine and also drink lots of water. If you try to lose weight by skipping meals then try not to do it anymore. Bottom line just get more active!!!
