You can try Naprosyn... but take it on a full stomach.

You can try acetaminaphen.

Do not try aspirin.. as it increases your risk of bleeding and is very rough on your stomach.

Beware that Ibuprofen is the generic name for Motrin etc.. always look at the generic name in the tiny print on the box to be sure what you are getting.

and if they do not work then call your healthcare provider and ask that they treat your pain. Be prepared to tell them everything you have tried already.

Most states have now recognized that pain control is a mandatory item.. not a luxory and all healthcare providers need to take care of it.

Good luck.

What kind of doctor are you seeing? Unexplained abdominal pain can be a symptom of a lot of different things, as simple as excess gas or as serious as a bleeding ulcer. A good physician or nurse practitioner should have told you what you CAN take as well as what medications to avoid. Tylenol in high dosages can lead to serious liver damage so stay below 4 grams (4000 milligrams) in a 24-hour period.

I would strongly suggest seeing a specialist, OB/GYN or gastroenterologist, or at least a medical professional who takes your complaints of pain seriously. No one can really advise you about specific medication options without knowing the cause of your pain.
