why do you think math/science majors are more respected than artistic majors( such as art,music,english, sociology,etc).
really what gives?

A math or science major had knowledge that can better be used in the working place. An artistic major has a harder time using their skills to benefit us.

No I don't agree. Anyone with a degree will find more respect than someone without one. My husband is having a tough time finding a job, even though he has 25 years experience in his field. Every job he has applied for, save one, has required a degree.

art/music/english majors will allow for creation of recreations.

maths/scientific majors resut in creatrion of cures/saftey improvements.

and your 'ealth is your 'ealth.

They create more value for society, which is reflected in more jobs available for them and higher salaries that they receive.
