A president never goes on vacation.

I'm a Republican but I know that Bill Clinton never went on vacation.

Being president is a 24/7 job. Wherever a president goes, he has to work. He gets a daily national security briefing every day.

There is no such thing as a vacation for a president.

Presidents have always liked to get away from the White House for the summer. Look at Theodore Roosevelt (1902), Calvin Coolidge (1925), Franklin Roosevelt (1933), John Kennedy (1961), etc.

For Bush, every day is a vacation day apparently - he spends less time in Washington on the job than anyone in the last 50 years. And when he is on the job, he's always saying and doing stupid things to make people ashamed to say he's their "leader."

Actually very few. Although he may be out of Washington, many of his staff members travel with him when he goes to Crawford, Texas. The President cannot afford to be away. He is in constant contact with the other key officials in the government. He even has foreign visitors come to his ranch. When time permits, he works on his ranch or does other activities that he likes.

none. he cannot delegate his authority to anyone while he is away from his office. He is in charge, 24/7 365 days a year. He is the man! He can goof off, and George W does lots of that, but he is still on edge and cant sit back and get pissed like you and me could while on vacation....
