Well, first of all, youre not going to get a USED Harley-Davidson for "cheap" .... They're not a "cheap" motorcycle.

As for "Ubets" comments, you won't get a cheap metric bike for MSRP either and, while it may be that you will get a Harley-Davidson wannabe for a few thousand dollars less than the real thing, you will have exactly that ..... a MUCH lesser, MUCH cheaper bike trying to imitate Harley-Davidson.

First of all, people like Ubet are not the guys to be asking or listening to about HD. They're invariably resentful because they can't afford one or an HD rider stole their girlfriend (or boyfriend in his case). And they're generally full of themselves, which means they're full of s'hit. They consider themselves individualists, but the truth is they're just overflowing with unfounded opinions, most of which are wrong or boring.

The best deal is one that involves a dealer that stands behind the product; cheap deals are not good deals. If you want a good used Harley, go to an HD dealership; there are loads of them out there. It may seem expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have two HDs (see my 360 page) and if one needs repair, my local shop (Gulfcoast HD in New Port Richey, FL) sends a trailer at no charge, and will even deliver it back. Yes, repairs cost but if you get an extended warranty, they'll be paid for. But from my experience, with the EVO and after, they don't break. I had a '98 Road King for 5 years that never needed anything but maintenance in the 5 years that I owned it and believe me, I put some hard miles on it and it lived in the open air of a carport through 5 hurricane seasons. You buy cheap, you get cheap. And you deserve it. Go for a Japper Hog, and it depreciates like a melting icecube as soon as you drive it off the lot. Pay a little more for an HD and you not only have a bike you'll really like, you'll also have one that'll hold its value or appreciate. And as they say, good is not cheap, cheap is not good. You want to ride the best bike in the world, it pays to protect your investment. You won't be sorry you did. But don't show up with that hairdo, OK?

The best deal Harley Davidson offers (other than possible employee discount program) is through the overseas purchase program available to deployed members of the US Armed Forces.
So Join the Army and go to Iraq! Prices are aproximatly $2000 less than a fair deal you will get at a dealer. Rightly so! Thanks to the Troops & good on HD!!!

No where... Harley is the biggest freaking rip off yet... If anyone could find a Harley dealer that sold their bikes at MSRP then that dealer would put every other dealer out of business...

ubet knows not of what he speaks. You are going to pay MSRP for a new Harley. They will not negotiate. Sometimes they offer 0% financing but that is all. You want cheap...go metric and regret not getting what you really want.
