in my opinion they lost big time. all they did is kill civilians. Hezbollah is still strong as steel. the moron who said they will take over a 300 mile buffer zone and tells you to lay of the coolaid is the one that needs to stop drinking what ever it is he drinks or smokes.
because that wasn't even the Israeli plan. they want a 18 mile buffer zone and basically push Hezbollah behind the Litany river.
i dont know where he came up with the 300 mile thing!!
and they are not even able to do that, they have control over 4 miles north of their borders only 4 friggin miles.

No is the answer...they have not. It's taking longer than people thought it would ONLY because they are being careful to avoid civilian casualties. If they weren't fighting the likes of Hezbollah, but a proper true army that don't hide amongst women and children, this war would have ended before it had begun. Israel has pr oven many times in the past, even against all the odds, that they are one of the most if not the most, powerful army in the world.

Israel will win shortly, one way or another, either militarily or with UN intervention, have no fear about that.

The situation today:
1) Israel killed over one thousand civilians and a few resistance fighters
2) The resistance fighters are still launching rockets against Israel
3) Thousands of Lebanese youth are now eager to join the resistance to avenge their lost loved ones
4) Lebanon is destroyed and American companies will get huge sums of money to rebuild it
You make your own conclusions

I don't think they lost but they sure as hell haven't won either.

Before this war I would have gone out of my way to give Isreal the benifit of the doubt and I would have believed in thier statements without bothering to do a lot of checking.

Because of the way they have chosen to conduct themselves in this dispute I will require a hell of a lot of proof before accepting anything they say and I will with not vote for any party that looks too cozy with them. I hope other Canadians feel the same way and if Harper's government falls as a result ...........I will feel that other Cdns agree with me.

well at first they were talking about getting rid of Hezbollah in the first 2 days now its 4weeks past and not only they haven't achieved their goal but lost some of their soldiers and 2 ships and their cities are being bombed every day ,its probably a lost for Israel but not a win for Hezbollah, not a win for Hezbollah yet!

Yes, and for two reasons. By killing hundreds of children they have lost goodwill and support all over the world, an secondly they should have realized that is impossible to ereadicate a guerillaforce just with brute power.

Look at the US in Vietnam, they failed...

It's unlikely that you will ever know.Assuming you are in USA or UK ,due to the amount of influence the jewish lobby has over the media, the only information you are likely to receive will be totally slanted in favour of Israel.
