I am confident that they will take at the least the Wild Card.

They have all the experience they need (Jim Leyland).

I think it will boil down to pitching, and with Mike Maroth due back later this month I think The Tigers could take The American League Pennant.

However, if they dont go far I would still happy with what they have done so far.

What do you think?

I am trying not to get my expectations too high. But with the way they are playing, I cant help it.

The Tigers go all the way and will win the World Series.

They have the pitching, they have the hitting, and above all they have the heart.

If the White Sox or Twins take the wild card, the Tigers will pound Oakland into oblivion (or whoever wins the AL West if Oakland folds, but it sure won't be the Mariners). Then there will be an exciting series against the winner of the AL East vs wild card matchup, which I still think will most likely be the Red Sox. (If it's the Steinbrenners, the Tigers pound them into oblivion instead.) The Tigers will win this, and thus the pennant.

If the Red Sox take the wild card, the Tigers defeat them in an exciting series and then pound the Steinbrenners into oblivion for the pennant.

If the Steinbrenners take the wild card, the Tigers pound them into oblivion and then defeat the Red Sox in (surprise!) an exciting series, taking the pennant.

I don't think the Blue Jays can get in. There is no reasonable probability that the AL West winner will get past the first round.

Now it's the World Series, where the Tigers face the New York Mets for the first time in WS history. (The Mets are the most likely winners in the NL; no other team has a chance of beating the Tigers.) The Tigers win again, in five games. (Six, if Pedro Martinez pitches twice and is at the top of his form.)

And there you have it: the 2006 Champion Detroit Tigers.

ok well if you really think about it the tigers right now will win the division unless the whitesox get out of there slump cuz lets face it look at the stats between the sox and tigers this year the sox lead by 3 games. I also believe that the tigers arnt a november type team. If anyone is gonna win its gonna be White Sox because they are a November type team just look at last year were they swept Boston the defending champs, then went 4-1 to the Angels and swept the Astros. So in my eyes tho if the White Sox dont win it again it will most likly be Red Sox. Tigers will go to the Wild card but then will lose To the white sox 3-1.

I am a Sox fan so I may sound biased, but the Tigers will lose in the ALCS to the White Sox. They will beat the A's in the first round in 4 games. The only reason the White Sox will win that series is because they have been to the playoffs before. The only two players that have any playoff experience at all is Kenny Rodgers and Ivan Rodriguez. But they have a really bright future.

I think they can make it to the ALCS. It really depends who they'll have to match up with. The Yankees could intimate them. You know, all that tradition not to mention a healthy lineup by playoff time. Anyone else and I think they have a shot at the Series. Frankly if they make it to the series I see them winning. They're better than the Mets and the Mets are the class of the NL. It should be a great fall!!!!!!

Well, GP, I've been saying all along that they will, without question, win their division, not a wild card. And then how far they go will depend on whether their pitching and timely hitting hold up. Right now, they should be the favorites to win the World Series, and I, a Red Sox fan, would not be disappointed if they did!!

Cheers!!

They will make it to the ALCS and no further. They are lacking the playoff experience some of the other teams have. They are having a great year, however the ride will come to a stop just short of the World Series.

I think the Tigers will get to AT LEAST the ALCS if not the World Series, but I dont think they will win it all.

Happy? I am ecstatic about what they have done this year! My Tigs are actually the talk of the town. I go into stores, bars, work, you name it. People are asking "did you see the game last night?" I love it...Still won't jinx them and talk the P word just yet, though.

They will take the ACLS. WhiteSox are losing steam. Then lose the AL to--who else--the Yankees.
