These two laptops are probably the same on the outside. But I have no idea which to buy. One costs 650 and the other is 900. The cheaper one has intel core solo which is 1.83Ghz. It has 512 memory and 80 GB hard drive. The other one has intel core duo, which is 1.6 Ghz. It has 1024 mb and 120 hard drive. I'm a student. Please help me find the right computer!!!

Why are you buying a Toshiba to begin with? Buy a Dell.

Seriously. Don't buy a toshiba laptop. Get a dell. Get an acer if you have to get it right away. You'll never scrape the crapware Toshiba will load on it back off. Toshiba has a history of pairing very poor software/drivers with really excellent hardware. Unless you are a computer geek you do not want that.

Get a dell and be patient.

If you are a student and only going to be using the PC for school work, i.e. creating documents, presentations, etc. Then I would highly advise getting the solo core laptop and saving yourself a couple hundred dollars.
If you plan on playing games or running any other intensive software such as AutoCAD, then the more expensive laptop is the way to go.
