what a strange question! ... but if i think about it, it's an incredible question, if you are at all religious ... because, hey , check this out:

A. god created mankind
B. everything god creates is perfect and good
... therefore mankind is perfect and good

C. the bible is the word of god
D. the bible condemns homosexuality
... therefore god condemns homosexuality so it must be an imperfection and bad

since being gay is just another word for homosexual, therefore, how is it possible to be gay, since god created us as perfect and good?

so, i think i see your point ... the answer is, there are no logical contradictions ... if you find one, you must examine your premises ... i.e., one of the four premises, A, B, C, D is false

and that is your answer!

try looking up http://www.borndifferent.com there is an explination there that suggests that it might be genetic (more in the case of men) and possibly homonal, a combination of either/both of these and environmental.

If you are wanting to know how someone realizes it, it takes a lot of thought and really knowing yourself. I came out when I was 40 after I lived through 12 years of spouse abuse with my ex-husband. I did not come out because he abused me, but because I realized that all my life I have felt different than most other women. My two sisters used to make fun of me saying "Mary hates babies", and Mary doesn't like dolls. Both of these statements are true. I have two brothers that I have always felt like I was more like them, than my two sisters. I feel that I am an alien among straight women and doing things "straight". I have had sex with a man (and only one), and always felt like it was abnormal and I didn't really feel comfortable even kissing him.
I still remember my first kiss with a woman. It felt so normal and so "right" that it is unimaginable. I just feel more comfortable with women and that is why I came out.

Being an older guy that went from times when being homosexual got them arrested and jailed, to our liberal society of today, where homosexuality is an accepted fact of life, I will say it just IS.

How can anyone be anything? How come I like blue more than red? There are things in life that we don't know the reasons for, they just are. We should be tolerant to the differences of others. That doesn't mean you have to like the choices of others, or become like others. Just live and let live!

Well, I'm gay because I have no choice, it's how I feel. I have always been attracted to and or fallen in love with other women. I have never been attracted to or fallen in love with a man.

Most experts believe its a combination of psychological and biological factors which determines one's sexual orientation. A straight guy will often ask, "how could a guy possible be attracted to guys?".

My answer would be, "its relative, how could a girl be attracted to guys?", "how could a guy be attracted to girls?", "how are some people attracted to both genders?".

Its all relative.

People are gay because they are born that way. It is not a choice, it is what it is. Can you really choose who you are attracted to? I don't think that is a choice we are able to make.

the same way it's possible for you to be straight! it's a a natural genetic occurance, and it is NOT a choice?
that there are people who still can't simply understand and accept this is what I find impossible.

Its against nature. Personal preference.
They forgot that if their parent were gay they would not have come to this world.

The same way it's possible to be heterosexual. You're born and when you become sexually aware you are only "aware" of the same sex. Pretty simple.

if you see a cute/hot guy and you think he's cute/hot, then you're kinda gay. if you meet a guy that you kinda like and you end up making out with him, you're ever gayer. but if you two do it together then you're totally gay! you get it?

If you truly just do not "get" it, that's the surest sign you're probably straight. If you just could not imagine how anyone could be straight; that's probably the surest sign you're gay.
