my kids, my dad, my ex mum in law
my daughter over came serious bullying and is now an independent free thinker, she is her self and wont allow anyone to put her down
my son has struggled to stay away from trouble and gang influences and re-gained himself and trying hard to be himself while not following the herd
my dad who has brought me up since i was 3, even after my mum walked out, i am now 46 and he is my best friend
my ex mother in law, when my eldest son was dieing she was always there for me, she treats both my kids as her own blood, still thinks of me as family, even though i was divorced from her son over 16 years ago.. and of course my husband now and his parents again they think of my kids as their own.. for me hero's are every day folk who make you feel safe, supportive, loved and important.

My oldest grand-daughter. Let me explain. She was 3 in 2002 while I was undergoing chemotherapy. My son and his wife lived on the other side of my house. Anyway, she heard me getting sick. Suddenly my door burst open and she ran in yelling, "Ta Da! Here I am to save the day! I'm going stay with you all day until you feel better Nana!"

You know what? She stayed with me all day and I did feel better!

Superman puts his muscle, his physical person to work to help others.
Mom has always shown up for me in difficulties and crisis.
I have good friends now-better than I've ever had before.
Women in my life have always been more consistantly sacrificial, understanding and there for me than men.
The church has failed me, the boyfriends have failed me, bosses have failed me.
I'll put my money on mom every time!
