What is the best way to distance yourself from a friend who is obsessed with you?

I have a friend whose been obsessed with me for years, and has made relations with my friends and family so now I cant get away from him.. What do I do?!

Yeah, I get it. The problem with such people is that they don't get it no matter how much you show it. I'm afraid that the only solution is to directly say it to him. But really directly, because sometimes 99% directly doesn't work. I know it's tough, but you will gain much more than you lose. I hope your other friends share your opinion, cause you don't want to lose your friends. Oh, it's tough. He really infiltrated.The other thing you could try is to distance yourself slowly - call him rarer, don't answer every sms, talk about things he's not interested in, meet other friends that will not be his friends too, etc.

I was in the same situation with 2 friends from a LOOOOOOOOOOOOng time ago. I had to pretend that I moved out of state, changed jobs, changed my cell number and quite frankly no longer existed. Good luck! p.s. some people don't actually hear what you are saying unless you bluntly scream it in their face.

Well, plan things for yourself ahead of time, so u wont have time to spend with him. Or, you could simply just tell him how you feel in a polite way.

Just tell him that you love being his friend, but you need a little space. Tell him that there is a line between friendship, and obsessivness. Sometimes it's hard being bottom line, but it gets your message across. That is the best way to do it.

just go head and set the girl striaght tell her your with her shadowing you and try not to make her cry and then shell try to beat the hell out of you but still tell her to bac the **** off
